Digital India is an initiative to make India Advanced and grow up. In digital India initiative Government of India launches new facilities with Indian web apps and websites.
Digital India was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 1 July 2015. And also connected rural the area with high speed of internet, digital literacy, and paperless work.
Digital
India project is mainly started to connect every govt. department with the internet
for citizens. When people connected to the government digitally, they can use
many government services at home. Now, people don’t have to wait for service
for too much time taken by government employees. Now, every government services
are provided on applications and website, no government employee request for
money to do work.
Now, a general citizen can get their services to themselves. The reason to development of
digital India is that the citizens of India will be educated and motivate.
There are
three-component of Digital India:-
- Building digital infrastructure- Develop websites and web-apps for services.
- Provide services to the public electronically
- Digital Literacy.
Some example of apps in Digital
India:-
- Voter Helpline App,
- mPassport Seva App,
- BHIM UPI,
- Mygov. App etc.
